I’M A DESIGNER & AN ATHLETE
In June 2001, I was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 15th round of the amateur draft. My path in life was set. All the hard work payed off. Since 2001, I had played professional minor league baseball with 6 different teams and have had the opportunity to travel quite a bit while playing. My first love, pro baseball, didn’t last. I found out the hard way that no matter how hard you throw, and how much you love the game, nothing is ever guaranteed. I still play in the Intercounty Baseball League in the summer for the Welland Jackfish.
During the off season
In 2003, I made the decision to go back to school during my “off-season”. I always enjoyed being creative, and computers always intrigued me. I found the graphic design program at George Brown College and figured this was the program for me. It was not easy at first. With my mind on the ball season that just came to an end, sitting in school was just a complete 180 from the summer I just spent competing against some of the best ball players I’d ever seen. As the months passed by, I found a strong passion for creative design.
19 years later… and here we are.
